If you guys are interested in an older versions of e-Sword, I have a collection of them ranging from version 8.06 through to 12.20. So there actually was no reason for me to try to install the older versions. The newest version of E-Sword 12.2.0 does indeed install just fine on an ancient XP Home computer that has not been updated since, I dunno, 2012 or 2013? The creators of this amazing Bible software should be able to have a say in how files are handled. I edited most of the info out of my previous post because I realized my approach was a bit rebellious. I was just able to get e-sword versions 11, as I am trying to fix an old XP machine that stays mostly offline.
